I made several requests for reasonable accommodation and no one would engage me in the interactive process. I have diabetes and produced a letter from my doctor supporting my request. I was put on pt 3rd shift and was requesting a return to my normal pt shift of 1 to 8pm. (I was discharged 36 hours after giving my supervisor the doctors letter) My supervisor stated on the discharge document "He stated his meds were affecting his ability to work" and side effects of meds are in and of themselves considered limitations requiring the interactive process. As a result of ignorance and lack of training my former employer will have to go thru the EEOC investigation process and subject themselves to potential litigation. (they refused mediation) It all could have so easily been avoided!!!!

I don't think you should know anything about employment background screening. Because the more you know the better chance at you getting a job that you probably don't deserve

Good information since we are looking at implementing a new policy on pre-employment drug testing and background checks, I found this information (and comments useful).
